Practice Areas

Business/Corporate
Daniel Meier has an MBA and experience working in management and a corporate environment. We can assist a business or corporation with any legal need, including formation and start-up, nonprofit applications, contracts, litigation, and general consulting.

Civil/Commercial Litigation
Civil litigation is a broad term encompassing lawsuits where you are demanding monetary, injunctive, and/or punitive relief.  Whether someone hurt you in an auto accident, breached a contract, owes you money, or harmed you intentionally or negligently, you have legal rights to attain compensation from the wrongdoer. Or, if someone is claiming you injured them and owe compensation, you have the right to dispute those claims. Whether you have been sued, or have legal rights to be enforced, we can help you with your civil litigation matters.

Personal Injury/Wrongful Death
If you have been injured, or a loved one killed, in an auto accident, defective product, or other negligent or intentional act of another, we can assist you in obtaining the fair compensation for your injury.

Health Law
Daniel Meier has a MSHA and experience working with HCA, the largest for-profit hospital corporation in America, including negotiating physician recruitment contracts and office building leases, in addition to dealing with compliance issues. Whether you are a resident looking to get the right deal, a physician needing help with their practice, a healthcare facility needing advice, or a patient with insurance problems, we can help you.

Employment
We can assist employees and employers in reviewing and negotiating employment agreements, severance agreements, or non-compete agreements. In addition, we can also assist and represent clients in employment discrimination, sexual harassment, disparate treatment, Retaliatory Employment Discrimination Act, Wage and Hour Act, and hostile work environment cases, and Employment Security Commission hearings.

Appeals
We can assist you in civil appeals, whether you are the person appealing the decision (Appellant), or the person seeking to uphold the decision (Appellee).

Family Law
We can assist you with your family law issues, including separation agreements and divorces.

Estate Planning
Many people need to update their will and think about their estate. We can discuss the need for, and assist you in preparing, your will, living will, healthcare power of attorney, general power of attorney, trusts, or other estate planning documents you may need.

Landlord/Tenant
Whether you are a commercial or residential landlord or a tenant, we can assist you with your leasing issues and evictions.

Traffic Tickets

From the simplest speeding citation to the most serious DWI offense, traffic tickets can have a significant impact on your life. The effects can range from increased insurance rates to loss of driving privileges to jail time. We can provide representation for all levels of traffic violations at all stages of the process including negotiating a reduced charge, representation at trial and DMV hearings.

DWI/DUI Defense

If you are charged with driving while impaired, give us a call. We can explain to you any possible defenses, as well as the consequences of a conviction. Upon being charged with DUI, your license is suspended for at least 30 days, and we may be able to get you a limited driving privilege so you can resume driving sooner. If you are convicted, you will lose your license for anywhere between one year and the rest of your life. However, we may be able to get you a limited driving privilege.

Criminal Defense

We can assist you in your criminal defense no matter how serious the charge. With experience in Federal and State courts, District Court bench trials, Superior Court jury trials and Appellate Court issues, Meier Law Group can provide complete representation for your criminal charge.

NOTE: Meier Law Group does not currently accept immigration or medical malpractice lawsuits, however if you feel you need an attorney, regardless of the legal issue, please feel free to contact us for an initial telephone/e-mail consultation with an attorney. If we are unable to assist you with your legal matter, we will help you find an attorney who will.
